ECOWAS

Created on May 28, 1975, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a West African intergovernmental organization that coordinates the actions of West African countries.

This structure makes it possible to restore confidence between the Member States and to develop a common economic policy.

ECOWAS includes fifteen African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Cape Verde...

In Tunisia, the cooperation project with ECOWAS concerns negotiations that will relate to investments, trade, and technical cooperation. The negotiations are led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the participation of other ministries, including the Ministry of Trade and Export Development.
